In this Overstone Global Fund review ( overstoneglobalfund.com ), we will delve into why this forex broker is not trustworthy and how they engage in deceptive practices.
Is Overstone Global Fund a Scam?
Yes, Overstone Global Fund is a scam. The most critical factor in determining a broker’s legitimacy is regulation. Forex brokers must hold a valid license to operate in regions such as Europe, the USA, and Canada. Legitimate brokers typically display their regulatory license number prominently on their website, often in the footer. Overstone Global Fund fails to provide this information or displays false credentials.
Another red flag is the use of high-pressure sales tactics, often originating from boiler rooms. These tactics include promises of unrealistic high returns, attractive bonuses, or guaranteed earnings with little to no effort.
How Do Forex Brokers Like Overstone Global Fund Operate?
Forex brokers like Overstone Global Fund acquire leads through third-party affiliates, who are often part of the scam industry. These affiliates create enticing websites featuring celebrities or high-return promises to gather your contact information. Once obtained, your details are passed to brokers like Overstone Global Fund, whose sales teams then contact you with high-pressure tactics.
After making an initial deposit, you are handed over to the retention department, which aims to extract as much money from you as possible. They may show fake profits, make unrealistic promises, and build a friendly relationship to encourage further deposits. They might even suggest taking a bank loan to invest more. It’s crucial to stop giving them money at this point. If you refuse or run out of funds, they will block your access to the platform and cease all communication.
How to Get Your Money Back from Overstone Global Fund?
First, submit a withdrawal request, although success is unlikely. Keep records of the request and any responses from Overstone Global Fund as proof. This step reveals their true nature, as they might try to dissuade you from withdrawing or become aggressive. They may also employ the “paying taxes” scam, claiming you need to pay capital gains tax before releasing your money. Remember, they are scammers and will not release your money without a fight.
Money Recovery Steps
- Chargeback: Contact your bank to initiate a chargeback if you paid with a credit card. Provide evidence of your interactions with Overstone Global Fund and their refusal to honor your withdrawal request. Act quickly, as chargebacks are time-sensitive.
- Wire Transfer: If you paid via wire transfer (SWIFT or SEPA), the process is more complex. Banks rarely reverse wire transfers, but it’s worth trying. You can also contact us at [email protected] for assistance.
- Cryptocurrency Payments: Unfortunately, recovering money paid via cryptocurrencies is very difficult. However, you can still reach out to us at [email protected] to explore possible options.

I invested the minimum amount with Overstone Global Fund after reading an online advert. I was subjected to repeated calls from my “Investment Manager “. I was completely overwhelmed by these call, the fact that English was not the Manager’s first language also caused a problem in communication. I was transferred to a new “Manager” but he took exception to my reluctance to invest more money with them. After repeated requests to withdraw my funds and close the account I have been met with silence. Luckily I don’t stand to lose a lot of money but I would advise anyone NOT to engage in any way with this company.
Update on previous review above. Yesterday (27th November 2024) someone called in response to my request to withdraw funds and close my account. After spending over two hours on the phone, following instructions to open a crypto account and then a Revolut account, I was asked to deposit over £1500 to cover the 20% service charge. They would take the charge and then deposit my original investment plus the gains made, over £7000. When I questioned why they needed the service charge before they settled my account I got some ludicrous explanation. At this point I informed the caller I would not be paying the “service charge” and would terminate all communication as I was sure it was all a scam, Joseph, my caller disconnected the call. Although I have lost my initial deposit of £220 I could easily have been scammed out of more that £1500. The “balance in my account” has now increased to US $ 21,5000 from $9500 in the space of 3 hours!!! AVOID AT ALL COST, DO NOT BECOME A VICTIM OF THESE SCAMMERS!!!
I invested the basic minimum amount with Overstone but foolishly I put in another $500 with promises of wealth creation.
When they wanted me to put in a larger amount with promises of larger profits ($1000) I refused and was put onto another so called professional he promised to let me let me withdraw my funds. But, after failing to arrange this he suggested I match my amount invested amount to prove to so called authorities that I was not money laundering??? This attempt to put money into my Papal account for the transfer my bank shut my account down and called me to explain.
I then went to my local bank branch to have my bank amount unfrozen a little annoying but very beneficial to me.
I am stuck with a loss of $900 but it could have been worse, a lot worse.
I thank my bank Bendigo Bank in Australia for their diligence and advice.
I feel foolish but wiser.
Do not go near this company, luckily I only invested $500 and unlikely to get money back, they do a nice little trick to gain your confidence, where they set up a withdrawal of around $20 from the $500 fund you invest “to make sure you can transfer money to your bank account” which was successful but any further withdrawals are met with silence. The fund did grow quickly(or seemed to do, could have been a false claim however) it increased by approx 100% which sort of encourages you to invest more. They put you under extreme aggressive pressure with constant phone calls encouraging you to invest more money, luckily I didn’t.
Do not touch them
